ATEEZ bring the fantasy to life with their ‘In Your Fantasy’ shows in Australia
When ATEEZ announced their return to Australia with the ATEEZ 2026 World Tour In Your Fantasy shows in Melbourne and Sydney, expectations were already sky-high. Australian ATINY had waited patiently for seven years for the group’s return, and from the moment the lights dimmed inside the arenas, it was clear that this tour was going to deliver something unforgettable.
I was lucky enough to attend a show in both Melbourne and Sydney, and what unfolded across both of those nights was not just a concert, but a full-scale, immersive performance experience that demonstrated exactly why ATEEZ continue to dominate global stages.

From the opening moments, the energy in the venue (both of them) was electric. The production immediately set the tone for the night with dramatic lighting, cinematic visuals and thunderous sound that pulled the audience straight into the world of In Your Fantasy.
ATEEZ have always been known for their theatrical storytelling on stage, and this show leaned into that strength with confidence. The stage design, visuals and transitions created the feeling of moving through different chapters of a dreamlike universe, with each section of the set revealing a different side of the group’s artistry.
What makes an ATEEZ show stand apart is the sheer intensity of their performance style. Hongjoong and Mingi commanded attention with their powerful rap sections, while Jongho’s vocals soared effortlessly across the arena, reminding everyone why he is considered one of the strongest vocalists of his generation. San and Seonghwa delivered some of the most captivating stage presence of the night, blending precision choreography with emotional expression that felt larger than life and drew everyone in – making the show feel intimate, even in the midst of a roaring, screaming, heaving venue that was packed to capacity.

Wooyoung, Yeosang and Yunho added their own unique colours to the performance. Yunho’s effortless charisma and bright energy lifted the mood of the crowd repeatedly throughout the night, while Yeosang’s elegance and precision in choreography drew huge cheers from fans. Wooyoung, as always, proved to be a master of engaging the audience, constantly feeding off the crowd’s excitement and turning it right back into the performance.
The choreography throughout the show was relentless. ATEEZ are known for performing at full power from start to finish, and the In Your Fantasy setlist demanded exactly that. Each dance break felt sharper and more intense than the last, yet the group maintained remarkable vocal stability throughout. It was the kind of stamina and professionalism that only comes from years of experience on international stages.
Melbourne’s audience brought incredible energy, creating an atmosphere that felt almost explosive at times. The call-and-response moments echoed throughout the venue, with fans singing entire sections of songs back to the group.
Sydney’s show carried that same intensity, but with a slightly different flavour. The Sydney crowd leaned heavily into the emotional moments of the night, particularly during the slower songs, where thousands of lightsticks swayed in unison, creating a sea of colour that stretched across the arena.
One of the most memorable aspects of both shows was the genuine connection between ATEEZ and their Australian fans. Between songs, the members took time to speak to the crowd, expressing how much it meant to return to Australia and see such passionate support waiting for them. These moments brought warmth and authenticity to the performance, reminding everyone that beyond the powerful stage personas are artists who deeply appreciate their fans.

Visually, the concert was stunning. Large-scale LED screens, dramatic lighting effects and cinematic interludes helped elevate the show into something closer to a theatrical production than a traditional pop concert. The styling throughout the night also added to the narrative of the show, with outfits that shifted from sleek and futuristic to dark and dramatic as the story of the performance unfolded.
By the time the final songs arrived, the energy inside the arenas had reached an emotional peak. Fans sang loudly, lightsticks filled the darkness with glowing waves of light, and the members delivered their final performances with the same intensity they had brought to the opening moments. It felt less like the end of a show and more like the closing chapter of a shared experience between artist and audience.

ATEEZ’s In Your Fantasy shows in Melbourne and Sydney proved once again that the group are among the most compelling live performers in K-pop today. Their ability to combine storytelling, choreography, live vocals and audience connection creates a concert experience that feels immersive from beginning to end. For Australian ATINY, these nights were more than just concerts. They were a celebration of music, performance and the powerful bond between ATEEZ and their fans.
If these shows were any indication, ATEEZ’s connection with Australia continues to grow stronger with every visit. And judging by the thunderous cheers that filled both arenas, Australian fans will be ready and waiting whenever the group decides to return.
