EXCLUSIVE
It’s my story, it’s personal and it’s important!
I feel the need to share something personal with you all.
I think you all know that I’ve worked in the music industry for a long time now within Australia and you all know how passionate I am about the Asian music scene.
There is something that I am equally passionate about – the mental health of K-pop idols!
One of the reasons that I started All Access Asia was definitely to review and promote Asian entertainment to the world, but there’s also a very personal reason behind all that we do.
The toll that the K-pop industry takes on young lives is much too high, and it is completely unacceptable to me and those around me.
The fact that I’ve worked in the music industry as a publicist, a tour manager, an A&R manager and many other things for longer than some of you have been alive, gives me a wealth of knowledge and experience in this area.
Right now, I am currently undertaking a degree in Psychology specifically aimed at addressing the issue of mental health in K-pop.
This isn’t a new thing for me, it’s been both my passion and my dream for many years now to make a difference. It seems to me that lately there are a lot of people who are jumping on the bandwagon to raise awareness of this issue. I’m grateful for this shift and the increasing awareness of an issue that has gone unresolved for so long. I truly hope that these moves are sincere and will make a difference and not just some attention seeking ploy to garner ratings and popularity.
I’m sharing this information with you now as I need all of you to help me. I want you to share this message and the purpose behind it far and wide. We will make a difference and we will support those who need it.
You are all part of the All Access Asia team in making this change. Your support means everything to me.
The team of All Access Asia is determined to make a positive change to the world of K-pop.
