Eric Nam‘s trailblazing world tour ‘There and Back Again‘ will soon be heading down under to Australia and New Zealand. There are limited tickets left for all dates in September, so make sure you get yours now if you haven’t already! We can’t wait for him to arrive.
The There And Back Again World Tour, is in support of Eric’s all-English sophomore album ‘There And Back Again’ which was released in January 2022. The Australian and New Zealand leg of the World Tour will kick off at The Tivoli, Brisbane, on 5 September, before heading to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on 6 September, and Melbourne’s The Forum on 7 September and finishing off in New Zealand at Auckland’s Powerstation on 9 and 10 September.
Whilst we’re fans of all the songs in his back catalogue, we all know he is the absolute King of collaborations, and there are some tracks that we’d love to hear live during this leg of the tour!
Armaan Malik x Eric Nam ‘Echo’ with KSHMR
What do you get when you combine one of India’s most prolific and loved pop-stars in Armaan Malik, the smooth relatable vocals of Eric Nam and the amazing skills of platinum producer KSHMR? You get one of the most beautiful and poignant collaboration tracks ever released – the amazing ‘Echo‘.
The song is the perfect collaboration as it allows each of the artists to shine using their own unique talent and style. Armaan’s classical Indian vocal training shows in the stunning tonal qualities he brings to the track. Eric’s smooth and effortless vocals will leave you melting on the floor (as most of his ballads do). Then add in the instantly recognisable sounds of KSHMR in the producers chair and you have a track that is beyond comparison.
Sarah Barrios x Eric Nam ‘Have We Met Before’
Have you ever listened to a song and just been mesmerised from the very beginning? That’s the feeling you get when you listen to Eric’s collaboration track with Sarah Barrios ‘Have We Met Before‘. The song is so grand and beautiful, it could have easily swept us up into a Jane Austen-esque novel. It’s a heart-warming ballad track that brings to mind a timeless romance between two people who are destined to meet each other.
Sarah and Eric’s voices are meant to be heard together and this track follows their successful collaboration on ‘I Don’t Miss You‘ in 2018. We’re looking forward to hearing more from these two talented musicians.
Gallant x Tablo x Eric Nam ‘Cave Me In’
‘Cave Me In’ was released in January 2017 and is a smooth, atmospheric R&B track, and it just happens to be one of my favourite collaboration tracks – ever! The collaboration between Gallant, Tablo and Eric was a stroke of genius, that made the most of their voices to create a song that Tablo described as the “perfect before-and-after-the-club-Uber-ride anthem“.
The straightforward beat of the song sits underneath an airy blend of synths and the beautiful layering of the background vocals that give the song the hazy, laid back ambience. Eric’s vocals are perfectly matched with the bare, layered arrangement of the song.
Eric Nam x Somi ‘You, Who?’
The collaboration track ‘You, Who?’ between Eric and Somi came about after her group IOI disbanded and she was in the early days of embarking on her solo career. The song was co-written by Eric and is said to reflect feelings one experiences in the early stages of a springtime romance.
The acoustic track provides a solid base for the pair to build their vocals on, while the addition of some percussion elements fills the song out and gives it more ‘oomph’ Once again, the harmonies are near perfect, and add to the sweet playfulness of the song.
