SHINee’s Key to return with ‘Hunter’
SHINee’s Key will be making his solo comeback with the release of his third full-length studio album ‘Hunter’ on August 11, 2025.
This marks a significant comeback: as it is Key’s first full album since Gasoline in August 2022, following his third EP Pleasure Shop in September 2024.
‘Hunter’ will feature 10 tracks, including the title track ‘Hunter’. We’re told to expect adventurous genre-blending beyond Key’s previous solo styles: HUNTER promises synth-infused pop, electro-funk, moody R&B, and cinematic textures that build on the retro-horror vibes of Gasoline.
The Mood Films that have been released so far give us a glimpse into the high-concept storytelling that is being used for this comeback. They hint at a dystopian world that is filled with tension and mystery. They’re sure to keep us guessing until the album release.
In the latest set of teasers to be released, Key looks ethereal and dreamy. We can’t get enough of these visuals.
Earlier teasers reflect the sci-fi theme that we were told to expect with this release. Key looks more other-worldly than he usually does in these images!
The first set of teaser images released give off a city hunter vibe, and if you look closely, you can see Key’s ‘claw’ in one of the images.
Key will be making his long-awaited solo comeback with ‘Hunter’ on August 11, 2025 at 6pm KST.
