BTOB’s Sungjae to enlist in May

It is revealed that he will be enlisting soon. He posted the following statement on Instagram: “Hello, this is Sungjae. Thank you to all the Melodies who celebrated my birthday! I didn’t know how to begin saying this, so I thought about it for a long time. However, since I was too far from any deep concerns, I have decided that the right thing was to tell you as soon as possible. You will be very surprised, but I have decided to enlist in the military on May 11th. There will be a lot of people who are surprised and concerned, however since I received a lot of love from Melodies, I have the confidence that I will receive love, happiness and be healthy no matter where I am. I am not worried! I will go with a comfortable mindset.

Since there is a continuous enlistment of BTOB members, there will be a hiatus. Since Melodies will be waiting for us, we will gather the strength of the day we will meet again. There isn’t much time left but I will definitely communicate with Melodies through a live broadcast, and the other members will be out soon, and ‘Mystic Pop-Up Bar’ will premiere soon. So, please be patient and wait. The day when BTOB and Melodies meet again will be soon. Thank you for everything, I ask for your continued support in the future! Until the day I return with an even better image, I hope you will all spend everyday healthy and happy.“

With that, Sungjae will be enlisting on May 11th as an active duty soldier. The time and location will not be revealed. We wish him all the best and can’t wait for his return.
