Jimin wants to ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’ and leaves us breathless

Just days before the release of his solo album ‘Face‘ on March 24, Jimin dropped the pre-release track ‘Set Me Free Pt.2‘.

And what a track it is!

Many have asked why is it Pt.2, where is Pt.1. Well, maybe, just maybe this track could be the follow-up to Agust D‘s ‘Interlude: Set Me Free’ which was part of his second mixtape ‘D-2’. Jimin‘s track is a fierce, forward looking song that commands your full attention.

Jimin’s unique and beautiful vocals and full range is on full show with this track. The song opens with a stunning classical orchestrated and brass loaded introduction that creates an intense atmosphere and builds the suspense for what is to come.

There is quite a bit of debate going around about the use of autotune through the song – personally I feel that it only adds to the future focus of the song. It adds a whole other layer to the vocals and heightens the anticipation for the return of Jimin’s pure vocals.

Jimin unburdens his deep-rooted emotions on the song which has been delivered with a major music video that sees Jimin commanding the dancers in an elaborate choreography piece. The dancers move across the screen performing in unison to the beat of the track.

Then to add even more fire to what was already an amazing release – we got the dance practice video. It shows very clearly the passion that Jimin and the dancers have and the energy that is just pouring out of them during the performance of this song.
