Seventeen are known for their intricate and artful MV’s and music themes, and their new MV is no exception to this.

Let’s see their latest MV titled ‘손오공’ (translated to ‘Son Wukong’) below.

SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) ‘손오공’ Official MV

This MV really does hit another level and Carat’s can rejoice with this MV being released on the debut of their 10th Mini Album titled ‘FML’ which stands for “Fight for My Life”, as shown on their official instagram.

The song starts with a more oriental feel, matching the background visuals of the MV and it has a sense of familiarity when hearing it. The spotlight on the members of Seventeen are welcomed immediately and it’s here the song takes a turn to their signature sound and choreography. The style of the MV now harbors a more hip hop/ funk feel whilst still transitioning to a melodic note during the song.

The musicality and showmanship each member shows through this MV is really enticing. You can feel the power that they portray not only with their vocals, but the strength displayed in their choreography and dance moves. You can tell a lot of training and hard work has gone into the MV itself and this song, from the production to each member of Seventeen.

We really cannot wait to see what the rest of their new album has in store, if this MV is any indication. There is a real maturity to both the look and sound of their new MV. It reminds us why Seventeen are one of the most beloved groups.
